The Republic of Tuva, located in South Siberia, is a member of the Russian Federation and is considered the center of the Asian continent. One of the cultural aspects that may be of interest to those wanting to explore Tuva is "khoomei", a two-note singing/chanting method which is found in Tuva, Mongolia, and Tibet. Also of interest are the stamps issued by Tuva in the 1930s which are unique in their shapes, such as diamond and triangle, and the pictures that they display (fishermen spearing fish, airplanes flying over pastoral scenes, etc.)
