Summary

The Royal Rangers, a Christian (Assemblies of God) youth scouting organization developed in 1962, has its dedicated Usenet group at alt.org.royal-rangers. Royal Rangers, Commanders, and those interested in the program are welcome to visit the newsgroup and the newsgroup FAQ (http://rangernet.org/faq.htm) to share experiences, ask questions, and converse with others with an interest in the Royal Rangers. The Royal Ranger organization encourages youth to serve their church, community, God, and their "fellowman" and to do so by praying, reading the Bible, witnessing, being obedient to leaders and parents, being brave and moral, and always being ready to "work, play, serve, obey, worship, live, etc." Some of the most frequent posters to the alt.org.royal-rangers newsgroup are Commanders of a Royal Ranger outpost who use the group to discuss their personal experience with the Royal Rangers, share obstacles that they are trying to overcome within their outpost, ask for fellow Royal Rangers help and prayers, etc.
